Throw Back Thursday

It's throw back thursday, people! And I don't mean looking back way into the past...I mean throwback as to where you were at this time just within the past year! What were you doing? Where did you see your life going & did you have any goals-did you accomplish them?

Every day people make decisions..decisions which sometimes lead to a healthier life style..and why wouldn't they make those decisions!? Sticking to something can take a lot of work and it's okay to fall off the grid every now and then...no one is perfect. It's not about the fall..it's about you lifting yourself back up and getting back to your goals.

So, what were your goals last year? What are your goals for the next year?

ME? My goals last year were to get more toned, let myself have the things I want in moderation...be a better friend/girlfriend/daughter/mother figure...I have fallen but I have also picked myself up and I am happy about it.

This year my goals are to get to 125 lbs...get toned, learn new things about the kids and watch them grow and still be a good person to the people around me. I also would like to succeed further with my job/fitness.

You are what you eat

I saw something today that made me realize what you eat really is important.
It was a quote from 21 day fix and it said..don't dig your grave with your own knife and fork"...
TRUE!

Eat. but eat healthy. You want to look your best? Choose wisely in the kitchen. Have a variety of colors! Fruits...veggies...lean meats...protein...yogurt...People think that eating healthy won't taste good. Those people are WRONG! :) Eating healthy does taste good you just have to be a little bit creative. But, hey...if you want a nice body, you have to work for it right? Go into the kitchen and prepare something. It's easy just to eat frozen food or go out and get fast food. How do you feel when you're done eating after that? Not well...and if you say awesome, I know that you're lying!

Whenever I eat unhealthy, I always feel tired/lazy/chunky. When I eat good, I feel good. My whole attitude changes-not just about myself but with everything else in my life. I find my self being a better coworker, girlfriend, family member etc.

Remember...you are what you eat; so don't be fast, cheap, easy or fake!

Do You Even Cardio!?

Cardio...Running...Sweating...Smiling.

I think I have a love/hate relationship with Cardio. Some days I feel like my feet hitting that concrete is the best feeling in the world. I feel like I could move mountains. Other days I feel like I am coming to the end of my run just as I am beginning it. Heavy breathing/tired.

What I like to look forward to is the feelin I get when I complete a work out. There is nothing better...well, almost nothing! I think...if you want to look good..if you want to FEEL good...you have to put a little work in. You want a butt? Squat! You want a strong tummy? Plank! Great arms? Lift!...
Incorporate a little bit of everything in and you will get results.

I am going to share a little recipe that I enjoy...so good!

Fresh Pico
Avacado
Hummus
LIME
tortillas

Oh, don't you dare forget the Lime! Do you hear what I'm saying!? I used to think limes weren't a big deal...and I'm here to tell you that they are! My life in the kitchen has changed ever since my wonderful man introduced me to the lime.

Another piece of information that I would like to share with you is the song I love listening to while I run right now! :) ... "Somebody To Love" - Queen. Oh, Yeah.
